About Tammy Sneed
Child Advocate, Anti-Trafficking Leader & Systems Change Expert
Tammy Sneed is the Director of Community Solutions at Altus Solutions, where she leads initiatives focused on strengthening community responses to human trafficking and supporting vulnerable populations. She brings more than 35 years of experience in child advocacy, juvenile justice, trauma-informed systems, and services for youth affected by exploitation.
Before joining Altus Solutions, Tammy spent more than two decades with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families, including leadership roles with Connecticut’s Human Anti-Trafficking Response Team and the Office of Human Trafficking Services. Her work has included developing trafficking-focused curricula, screening tools, specialized foster-care models, and coordinated systems designed to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and survivors.
At the 2026 What Happens in Mama’s House… Breaking the Cycle symposium, Tammy brought a professional systems perspective to the conversation, helping participants connect survivor experiences with prevention, trauma-informed response, and stronger coordination between the organizations and professionals responsible for supporting survivors.
